Spearmint oil is peppermint’s milder cousin. Spearmint oil has many of the same benefits as peppermint oil, but it is safer for sensitive skin and kids. Spearmint oil, like peppermint oil, is antiseptic and fights the spread of infection and bacteria. Spearmint oil has a relaxing, yet invigorating scent that is ideal for awakening the mind without causing hyperactivity. Like peppermint, spearmint is effective at promoting digestion, relieving mild nausea, and relaxing the stomach muscles. Spearmint oil is also toxic to insects, including ants, flies, moths, and mosquitos. Spearmint essential oil has a medium sweet mint scent.

WOUND CLEANING: Apply a diluted drop of spearmint oil to minor cuts, scrapes, and bruises to promote healing. .
FOCUS: Much like peppermint, spearmint awakens the mind and improves focus, but it is also safer for kids to use, which make it ideal for kids to use during homework or when taking a test at school.

A maximum dilution of 1.7% for topical applications is recommended.
